What to Expect During Your Veneer Appointment

The number of appointments you can expect when getting your veneers will depend on the type of veneers you choose. Composite resin veneers are completed in one visit, while porcelain veneers will require two.

Porcelain veneers generally last between 10-20 years while composite resin veneers last about 5-7 years. However, this is dependent on several factors, including proper care and oral hygiene.

A very thin layer of enamel (0.5 mm) is removed for dental veneers.

This depends on your smile. We recommend veneering all upper teeth shown in your smile line for best results. If you only show the front 6 teeth when you smile, then you will only need 6 veneers. Veneers are usually not needed on the bottom teeth but can be included upon request.

Veneers are considered a cosmetic procedure and are not generally covered by insurance. Check with your insurance provider for details on coverage and any potential costs.
